So Many Books, So Little Time

Here's a list of the dozen best books I've read in the last three months or so, followed by a short list of what I'm reading now... What are you reading?

Bodies in Motion and at Rest: On Metaphor and Mortality, by Thomas Lynch

The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration, by Isabel Wilkerson
Verily, Verily: The KJV - 400 Years of Influence and Beauty, by Jon M. Sweeney

Here If You Need Me: A True Story, by Kate Braestrup

The Music Lesson: A Spiritual Search for Growth Through Music, by Victor Wooten
The Listening Book: Discovering Your Own Music, by W.A. Mathieu

Still Life in Milford, by Thomas Lynch.
Owls and Other Fantasies, by Mary Oliver.

Be Grateful to Everyone: An In-Depth Guide to the Practice of Lojong, by Pema Chodron (audio).
The Energy of Prayer: How to Deepen Your Spiritual Practice, by Thich Nhat Hanh.
The Fearless Heart: The Practice of Living with Courage and Compassion, by Pema Chodron (audio).
Naked Spirituality: A Life with God in Twelve Simple Words, by Brian McLaren.
Present Moment, Wonderful Moment: Mindfulness Verses for Daily Living, by Thich Nhat Hanh.

It's the good old summertime, back uh my neck gettin' dirty and gritty, so I've added fiction and biography to my steady diet of poetry and spiritual practice yadda yadda.
A World I Never Made, by James LePore
The Paper Garden: An Artist (Begins Her Life's Work) At 72, by Molly Peacock

There is of course, more poetry, because there's always more poetry.
